Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Woong Kim for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,613.14). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Woong Kim - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1988, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,458.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Woong Kim für USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.613,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Woong Kim mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1988 beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.458,50) versteigert wurde.
