Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Building After Building by Wong Hau Kwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,418.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wong Hau Kwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 138,987.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Building After Building von Wong Hau Kwei kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.418,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wong Hau Kwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 138.987,33).
