In the New Now auction, the work Usbani sold for GBP 34,020.00 (€ 39,895.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wonder Buhle Mbambo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hearts, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 175,000.00 (€ 151,488.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wonder Buhle Mbambo erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Usbani für GBP 34.020,00 (€ 39.895,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wonder Buhle Mbambo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hearts beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 175.000,00 (€ 151.488,92) versteigert wurde.
