In the American Art auction, the work Two Girls on the Beach, Tynemouth changed hands for USD 2,440,000.00 (€ 1,995,094.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Other works by Winslow Homer have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2018 by the work Where are the Boats? at USD 4,572,500.00 (€ 3,918,166.24).
