Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Camp in Canada by Winslow Homer for USD 113,400.00 (€ 105,675.15). This price was achieved in the auction Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winslow Homer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Where are the Boats? in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,572,500.00 (€ 3,918,166.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Camp in Canada von Winslow Homer für USD 113.400,00 (€ 105.675,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winslow Homer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Where are the Boats? im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.572.500,00 (€ 3.918.166,24).
