Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Mountain Landscape by Wilson Irvine for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,113.29). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilson Irvine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selden's Cove in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 59,750.00 (€ 48,608.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountain Landscape von Wilson Irvine für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.113,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilson Irvine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selden's Cove im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.750,00 (€ 48.608,85).
