Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carmen by Willy Sluiter was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 37,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Sluiter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard, which sold at auction in April 2003 for EUR 89,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Carmen von Willy Sluiter wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy Sluiter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard beobachtet, die im April 2003 für EUR 89.625,00 versteigert wurde.
