Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A jumping jockey by Willy Sluiter was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 16,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willy Sluiter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 89,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A jumping jockey von Willy Sluiter kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 16.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy Sluiter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 89.625,00.
