Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Portrait Of A Volendam Girl by Willy Sluiter. The price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Sluiter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 89,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Volendam Girl von Willy Sluiter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Sluiter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 89.625,00.
