Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A portrait of the painter H.W. Mesdag by Willy Sluiter was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Sluiter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 89,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A portrait of the painter H.W. Mesdag von Willy Sluiter kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Sluiter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 89.625,00.
