Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Willy Ronis was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,978.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willy Ronis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 26,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Willy Ronis wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.978,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy Ronis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carrefour Sèvres-Babylone - Paris, 1948 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.650,00.
