A top price for Willie Cole - as previously expected
In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections, which included the work Gas Snake (G) by Willie Cole. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,433.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gas Snake (G) is the most expensive artwork by Willie Cole that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gas Snake (G) von Willie Cole zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.433,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Gas Snake (G) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Willie Cole, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
