This artwork by William Zorach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2017. In the American Art auction, the work The Family sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,624.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Zorach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Zorach erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit The Family für USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.624,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Zorach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
