In the American Art auction, the work The Family sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,624.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Zorach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Zorach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
