Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White People Are Love by William Pope.L was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,088.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Pope.L achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White People Are Love von William Pope.L kam im Dezember 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.088,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Pope.L erzielen.
