This artwork by William Minshall Birchall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the The Marine Sale auction, the work 'The Busy Mersey' sold for GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,235.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Minshall Birchall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tower Bridge, London sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,969.91).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Minshall Birchall erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Marine Sale wurde die Arbeit 'The Busy Mersey' für GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.235,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von William Minshall Birchall; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tower Bridge, London im Mai 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.969,91).
