Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Autumnal Landscape by William Hart was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,173.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Spring Day on the Hudson in January this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Autumnal Landscape von William Hart kam im November 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.173,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Hart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21).
