In the Important American Furniture, Folk Art & Decorative Arts auction, the work Portrait Of A Boy sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,407.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Matthew Prior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Group of Family Portraits in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 119,549.39).
