Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horse Riders by a River; Scottish Countryside: Two Works by William Hart was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,075.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Hart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spring Day on the Hudson in January this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horse Riders by a River; Scottish Countryside: Two Works von William Hart kam im März 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.075,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Hart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21).
