In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Night In The Forest sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,231.68) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Louis Sonntag achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning In The Alleghenies in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 177,171.41).
