This work of art by William Louis Sonntag could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Two Centuries: American Art auction, the work Landscape with Sunset changed hands for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,180.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Louis Sonntag achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning In The Alleghenies in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 177,171.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Louis Sonntag konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape with Sunset für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.180,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Louis Sonntag erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning In The Alleghenies im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 177.171,41).
