In the Two Centuries: American Art auction, the work Landscape with Sunset changed hands for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,180.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Louis Sonntag achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning In The Alleghenies in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 177,171.41).
