Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Day Is Done by William Louis Sonntag was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,600.00 (€ 1,411.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Louis Sonntag achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning In The Alleghenies in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 177,171.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Day Is Done von William Louis Sonntag kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.600,00 (€ 1.411,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Louis Sonntag erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning In The Alleghenies im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 177.171,41).
