Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work On the waste of Cumberland by William James Blacklock was auctioned at Christies in London in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 18,869.13). Admittedly, works by William James Blacklock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Miller's Homestead in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 164,263.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit On the waste of Cumberland von William James Blacklock kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 18.869,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William James Blacklock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Miller's Homestead im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 116.500,00 (€ 164.263,54).
