Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Chapel At Haddon Hall by William James Blacklock was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 36,604.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William James Blacklock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Miller's Homestead in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 164,263.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Chapel At Haddon Hall von William James Blacklock kam im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 36.604,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William James Blacklock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Miller's Homestead im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 116.500,00 (€ 164.263,54).
