A top price for William James Blacklock - as previously expected
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Miller's Homestead by William James Blacklock. The price achieved of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 164,263.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Miller's Homestead is the most expensive artwork by William James Blacklock that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Miller's Homestead von William James Blacklock zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 116.500,00 (€ 164.263,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Miller's Homestead das teuerste Kunstwerk von William James Blacklock, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
