Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Derwentwater Looking Towards Borrowdale by William James Blacklock was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 57,650.00 (€ 67,300.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William James Blacklock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Miller's Homestead, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 116,500.00 (€ 164,263.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Derwentwater Looking Towards Borrowdale von William James Blacklock kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 57.650,00 (€ 67.300,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William James Blacklock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Miller's Homestead beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 116.500,00 (€ 164.263,54) versteigert wurde.
