Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Lakeland Mountains, Crummock Water, Grassmoor And Whiteless Pike by William James Blacklock. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 54,247.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William James Blacklock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Miller's Homestead, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 116,500.00 (€ 164,263.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lakeland Mountains, Crummock Water, Grassmoor And Whiteless Pike von William James Blacklock zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 54.247,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von William James Blacklock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Miller's Homestead beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 116.500,00 (€ 164.263,54) versteigert wurde.
