In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work In The Woods changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,775.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holbrook Beard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bears Picnic in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
