Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Leaving The Inn by William Holbrook Beard for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,310.23). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holbrook Beard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bears Picnic in January this year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Leaving The Inn von William Holbrook Beard für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.310,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Holbrook Beard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bears Picnic im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 139.252,16).
