Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,844.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Holbrook Beard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bears Picnic, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 139,252.16).
