In the Travel, Science and Natural History auction, the work View of the West Side, of Chunar Gur; A View of an Insulated Rock, in the River Ganges, at Jangerah; A View of the Fort of IIonpoor upon the Banks of the River Goomty; A View of a Mausoleum at Etmadpoor; A View of the Cutterá built by Jaffier Cawn a sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,164.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1 Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Matavie Bay in the Island of Otaheite (Matavai Bay, Tahiti) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 659,250.00 (€ 764,682.72).

In der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History wurde die Arbeit View of the West Side, of Chunar Gur; A View of an Insulated Rock, in the River Ganges, at Jangerah; A View of the Fort of IIonpoor upon the Banks of the River Goomty; A View of a Mausoleum at Etmadpoor; A View of the Cutterá built by Jaffier Cawn a für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.164,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Hodges erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Matavie Bay in the Island of Otaheite (Matavai Bay, Tahiti) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 659.250,00 (€ 764.682,72).
