In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Outsider Art, which included the work Two Dinosaurs Wrestling, 1989 by William Hawkins. It changed hands for a price of USD 45,000.00 (€ 40,566.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by William Hawkins have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2017 the work Puma Kitten, circa 1985 was auctioned for USD 85,000.00 (€ 78,747.45).
