Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eagle and Serpent, circa 1982 by William Hawkins was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,439.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by William Hawkins have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2017 the work Puma Kitten, circa 1985 was auctioned for USD 85,000.00 (€ 78,747.45).
