The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,777.78), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Hawkins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Puma Kitten, circa 1985, which sold at auction in January 2017 for USD 85,000.00 (€ 78,747.45).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.777,78) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Hawkins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Puma Kitten, circa 1985 beobachtet, die im Januar 2017 für USD 85.000,00 (€ 78.747,45) versteigert wurde.
