Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by William Francis Robinson was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2003. The price achieved of AUD 22,325.00 (€ 13,188.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Francis Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Back Creek Gorge to the Coomera in May 2002 with an auction result of AUD 305,500.00 (€ 185,151.52).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 22.325,00 (€ 13.188,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
