Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Family Group by William Francis Robinson was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2004. The price achieved of AUD 17,925.00 (€ 10,403.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 16,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Francis Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Back Creek Gorge to the Coomera in May 2002 with an auction result of AUD 305,500.00 (€ 185,151.52).

Die Arbeit Family Group von William Francis Robinson kam im August 2004 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 17.925,00 (€ 10.403,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 16.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Francis Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Back Creek Gorge to the Coomera im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 305.500,00 (€ 185.151,52).
