Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Female Nude In A Landscape by William Etty was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,971.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Etty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Her Satellites in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19).
