Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Shoreham Fishing Fleet Returning At The End of The Day by William Edward Atkins was sold in the Maritime Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 735.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Edward Atkins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Battle of Trafalgar, 21st October 1805: The destruction of the French 74-gun Achille, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Shoreham Fishing Fleet Returning At The End of The Day von William Edward Atkins wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Maritime Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
