Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,991.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Duffield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with peaches, a pomegranate, grapes in a tazza, a pineapple, an orange, plums and pears, amongst roses, poppies and vines on a carved oak chest, draped with a rug, a landscape beyond in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 54,970.00 (€ 78,994.88).
