Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,585.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Duffield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with peaches, a pomegranate, grapes in a tazza, a pineapple, an orange, plums and pears, amongst roses, poppies and vines on a carved oak chest, draped with a rug, a landscape beyond in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 54,970.00 (€ 78,994.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.585,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Duffield erzielen.
