In the The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art auction, the work British Hanging Game (Three Works) changed hands for USD 2,188.00 (€ 1,571.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by William Cruickshank have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2000 by the work A cat and mouse with a pheasant and a rabbit in a larder; and Pheasant and a hare in a larder at GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,421.28).
