Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Cruickshank - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A cat and mouse with a pheasant and a rabbit in a larder; and Pheasant and a hare in a larder, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,421.28).
