Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a Seated Woman by William Brice for USD 179.25 (€ 166.30). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Brice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses in Succession in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80).
