Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Brice was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2011. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 896.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Brice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses in Succession in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Brice kam im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 896,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Brice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses in Succession im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.566,80).
