Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by William Brice for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,176.14). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Design | Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Brice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses in Succession, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Brice für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.176,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Design | Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Brice mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses in Succession beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.566,80) versteigert wurde.
