Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work View near Cape Charles on the Coast of Labrador by William Bradford. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,408.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View near Cape Charles on the Coast of Labrador von William Bradford zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.408,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Bradford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Midnight Sun, The Arctic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.314.353,28).
