In March 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work The Fisherman'S House, Arctic Harbor by William Bradford. The result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,402.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fisherman'S House, Arctic Harbor von William Bradford zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.402,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Bradford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Midnight Sun, The Arctic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.314.353,28).
