This work of art by William Bradford could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work American Ship And Fishing Port changed hands for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,440.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
