This artwork by William Blamire Young achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in April 2003. In the THE ESTATE OF THE LATE FREDERICK D. BLADIN auction, the work Gypsies Bathing sold for AUD 44,650.00 (€ 22,768.59) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Blamire Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Blamire Young erzielte im April 2003 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE ESTATE OF THE LATE FREDERICK D. BLADIN wurde die Arbeit Gypsies Bathing für AUD 44.650,00 (€ 22.768,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B.
