Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Asleep by William Blamire Young was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in May 2002. The price achieved of AUD 2,350.00 (€ 1,424.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blamire Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Asleep von William Blamire Young kam im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.350,00 (€ 1.424,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.962,85).
