Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Job's Comforters, from Illustrations from the Book of Job by William Blake for GBP 535.50 (€ 609.23). This price was achieved in the auction Pictures and Prints Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 531,875.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Job's Comforters, from Illustrations from the Book of Job von William Blake für GBP 535,50 (€ 609,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures and Prints Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 722.500,00 (€ 531.875,74).
